February Thaw: Jan 28th-March 6th 2023

The Rusty Brundage Memorial Art Gallery is pleased to feature the work of Angelia Salerno in "February Thaw: A veritable bouquet for an artistic spring". This is a show of contemporary flower and botanical paintings with a story-book flare, along with creative works in other mediums.

Our gallery room will be full of floral paintings by Angelia as well as selected floral themed ceramics, paintings, fiber arts and other gifts from our gift shop! Work will be on display from January 28th - March 6th. Gallery Hours: Monday, Friday and Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 12-5 (Folks may wish to visit when a class is not in session, check our website for the full schedule: www.cheshireunion.com/artclasses) About the artist, Angelia Salerno: "My work is typically landscape in oil and more contemporary work inspired by my observation and experience of the natural world. I believe that the creative well is deep, and that my work is built on a multidisciplinary attentiveness over time. It manifests itself in paint but attempts to allow the voices of things to speak in their own words. Every creature has a story from the smallest seed to the largest tree. These paintings speak to the personality that shines through every leaf, stone, cloud... That is why the flowers and plants on these canvases seem to float above and are reaching beyond their artificial containers. They were done as a change from landscape last winter."
