Dory is a landscape painter who works primarily in acrylic and pastel. She loves the scenery of the Finger Lakes and feels blessed to live there. She finds inspiration from nature, the scriptures and from other artists from the region. Many of her images are turned into note cards. An ongoing project has been painting each of the Finger Lakes and printing them as bookmark cards, combining her love of painting and reading.
Dory is an integral part of our gift shop. You will often find her working the counter, talking to customers, or working in her humble studio space.
You can also catch her teaching watercolor classes each month. If you've ever wanted to step into a creative outlet but are nervous for whatever reason - Dory is the teacher for you. She has a gentle and encouraging approach to teaching - which is welcoming to all artists of all ages, but especially beginners!
