Wheat Weaving

The art of wheat weaving began as a courting ritual. In the old days, a young lad hoping to impress a lady would pluck a few straws, weave a design, and offer it to her. If she wore the weaving, then she had accepted his invitation and the two were courting. In this class, you'll learn how to weave a lovely heart spiral weaving. It's one of the simpler weaves, so even if you've never woven before, you'll be able to pick it up pretty quick! You can hang your finished weaving on your wall for luck (as was the old Irish custom) or give it to your lady fair to keep with tradition 😉)

For ages 5+. Cost of the class is $20 and all supplies will be provided.
