Intermediate Watercolor Tuesdays with Nancy Lane

This is a 4 week course running on Tuesday afternoons.

Dates: May 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd. 1-4pm.

Improve your watercolor skills and color mixing while creating a painting together. We'll paint from the same photo; subjects will vary. A printed photo (and optional drawing) is provided to each student in advance, but if you have an iPad or tablet to view the photo, that is even better. Students arrive to class with the drawing already on the paper so we can get right into painting. Nancy demonstrates painting 3-4 times in each class. Group critiques and a follow-up email reviewing what we did rounds out the instruction.

A suggested supply list will be provided, but students can bring materials they already have.

About the Teacher:

Professional artist Nancy Lane works in watercolor and oil. Her cheerful teaching style encourages students to enjoy the process and embrace knowledge gained from mistakes.

Line, value, shape, color, form, texture, and composition are regularly discussed when appropriate. Group critiques include problem solving and encouragement. Class is limited to 8 students to allow for plenty of individual attention.
