Bead Embroidery Art

Join Barbara Dwyer for a two part workshop on bead embroidery! This is a beginner level beading class, any needlework experience is a plus. Students should be comfortable working with needle and thread.

We will use a variety of bead shapes and colors to make textured stitches on fabric, creating a colorful design to enjoy as tabletop art.

Two classroom sessions are required to complete the project.

Session One: Learn the project’s basics and how to make and practice a number of beaded stitches on fabric. A variety of fabrics and coordinating bead choices will be offered.

In the week between the sessions, students will complete their creative bead stitching.

Session Two: Add any finishing touches and learn how to mount and frame the design with a 4” embroidery hoop.
