Lynn Thurston started Clean Ocean Wraps with her two daughters after discovering the devastating impact of single use plastics.
"When biologists and researchers discovered plastic residue in baby's milk and shared pictures of sea turtles, great blue herons and fish struggling in heaps of plastic, that was the tipping point. We resolved to do something to help."
Lynn lives in Naples with her husband and makes the beeswax wraps right here in the Finger Lakes while her two daughters help out remotely. Her oldest daughter, Lauren, is the marketing guru. She grew up in Naples and now lives in London where she works with J&J. Her daughter Victoria, also grew up in Naples and now lives in Vancouver, British Columbia. She's a CPA and keeps the business on budget. Lynn has been involved in environmental issues for over 20 years in the Finger Lakes. She's been the President of the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association twice and co-founded the Finger Lakes Regional Watershed Alliance, an association of all of the watershed groups in the Finger Lakes.
