Joann Long has been involved in many things over the years; from a computer consultant, to a volunteer Sheriff's Mounted Unit member, to owning her own horse training business, Gentle Dove Farm. Today, she owns her own photography business and is a proud member of the East Bloomfield Fire Department.
"About 7 years ago a friend of mine showed me her DSLR camera and I was fascinated by the quality of the pictures. I started researching different cameras, took several classes at RIT, and became a sponge for all I could learn about photography."
Joann is President of the Finger Lakes Photography Guild, and continues to learn in this lifelong hobby. She particularly enjoys shooting nature and wildlife, but will try her hand at any subject for the fun of it.
"When I travel with my supportive husband I kid him that I'm pretty much happy doing anything as long as I have a camera in my hand to creatively capture the moment."
